Are you a nonprofit organization that focuses its efforts on helping animals? To learn about a unique fundraising opportunity, read on…
THINGS HAVE CHANGED…
The worst recession since the Great Depression has devastated the non-profit sector. For example:
“Colorado’s largest charitable foundations suffered enormous drops in their assets in 2008—hundreds of millions of dollars each, after investment losses of 21% to 43% and are now recasting their missions with smaller pots of working money.” –The Denver Post, March 1, 2009
Denver animal shelter reports double-digit drop in financial donations. –The Denver Post, October 9, 2008
Nonprofits expect permanent damage from recession:
Only 16% of surveyed nonprofits expect to cover operating expenses this year
Another 52% anticipate the recession will have permanent negative impact
Almost all—93%–expect an increase in demand for services this year. -CNN March 26, 2009
Many non-profit organizations (NPOs) are adjusting through:
cutting programs
reducing salaries
delaying payment to vendors
increased fundraising
accessing cash reserves
Does this sound like your NPO?
What if you could diversify your revenue sources to be less vulnerable to an economic downturn?
Would your NPO be interested?
Many of you are partnering to reduce expenses.
What if you could partner to increase revenue?
Would your NPO be interested?
President Obama envisions a social innovation framework for the 21st century that reflects a new social contract: citizens actively and effectively serving their communities, solving problems and connecting their services to a larger effort. - From President Barack Obama – www.WhiteHouse.gov, May 4, 2009
The B Brothers Project
A Project-Based Fundraising idea where NPOs can partner to offer the much-acclaimed book, The Legacy of Beezer and Boomer, to their customers, donors and friends, and earn 40% of the sales price.
I have several motivations for offering this sales approach and “making a difference” is one of them. Creating a business where my success is based on the impact my organization has on nonprofits is a critical element to me. I also have a special motivation I’ll tell you about later in a video (I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised).
Q: How Does This Work?
A: The B Brothers Project is designed to help small, medium and large animal-focused nonprofit organizations raise funds. We provide resources you can download immediately to get started.
The B Brothers Project works like this:
You sign up (for free).
We send you information and a special link through which people can buy my book, The Legacy of Beezer & Boomer. The book has received excellent reviews and acclaim from readers.
We send you a user name & password. You use the user name & password to access tons of online resources to help you conduct a fundraising campaign.
You choose a campaign strategy (e.g., a virtual campaign, cocktail party campaign, etc.) that best fits your organization. From the nonprofit resources on our site, identify the draft emails, press release templates, cocktail party templates, etc., that make sense for you. Download them (for free).
You implement your campaign strategy and encourage donors, contacts, animal lovers, friends, colleagues and family members to purchase a copy of my book.
For every copy of The Legacy of Beezer and Boomer you sell through your link, we will donate 40% of the book’s price to your organization. For example, the book costs $24.95, and we will donate $10.00 for every book sale through your link. Each purchaser will click on your organization when they go to buy.
And, whether you’re the owner of an NPO, a paid staff member, a board member or a volunteer, we know you’re busy. So, our templates provide you with drafts and step-by-step suggestions on how you can conduct your fundraising campaign without adding massive amounts to your “to do” lists.
Basically, we want to make it easy for you to raise money for causes that are important to you and important to us.
A: Nothing. Literally. You’ll notice throughout this process, we never ask for your credit card or for you to send us a check. We never require your organization to purchase any books (unless you want to), and you’re never obligated to get a certain number of people to purchase books.
In fact, we want to send you money! We can make arrangements to do that in a way that works for you (e.g., via Paypal, check, etc.). Once you sign up, we’ll set that up.
A: The amount of time and energy you devote to anything usually is directly related to the results. Fundraising through The B Brothers Project is no different.
Because we provide you templates and draft emails, your time drafting emails, invites, etc. will be significantly reduced. However, you will need to devote time in the beginning determining the best strategy for your organization. Then, you will need to devote time to coordinate your team, monitor results and tweak your plan.
You will want to consider the time you think it will take for the following:
Meeting with your fundraising committee or team
Determining the right strategy for your organization
Signing up for our program and arranging the details
Q: How much money will we make/what kind of results can we expect?
A: Our commitment to you is to donate to your organization 40% of the book’s price to your organization (for example, the book costs $24.95, and we will donate $10.00) for every person who purchases the book through your link. We also provide templates and resources to support you.
The rest is up to you.
We have to say this stuff legally and it’s important to know. We’ve taken every effort to ensure we accurately represent this program and its potential to help you raise funds for your organization. However, we do not purport this as a “get rich scheme” and there is no guarantee that you will earn any money using the techniques displayed here. Nothing on this page is a promise or guarantee of earnings.
Your level of success in attaining similar results is dependent upon a number of factors including your skill, knowledge, ability, dedication, business savvy, business focus, business goals, and financial situation. Because these factors differ according to individuals and organizations, we cannot guarantee your success, income level, or ability to earn revenue. You alone are responsible for your actions
and results in life and business. Any forward-looking statements outlined here are simply our estimates, expectations or forecasts for future potential, and thus are not guarantees or promises for actual performance. These statements are simply our opinion. As required by law, we can make no guarantees that you will achieve any results from our ideas or models presented in this program, and we do not offer professional, legal or financial advice. Decide and Commit. The first step is to decide and commit to raising funds through the B Brothers Project. It is a turnkey setup so one person can do it or you can have a team approach. For larger
uot;> organizations, you will need the support of a team within your organization. So, be sure to consult with your executive director, development director, board chair and/or fundraising committee. Send them the link to this site s
o that they can check it out themselves. You will succeed only with a committed team.

From President Obama…
“That’s why this bill [Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act] includes a new Social Innovation Fund that will bring nonprofits…and the private sector to the table…so we can learn from one another’s success stories…We need your service right now, at this moment in history.
“I’m not going to tell you what your role should be; that’s for you to discover. But I’m asking you to stand up and play your part. I’m asking you to help change history’s course, put your shoulder up against the wheel.
“And if you do, I promise your life will be richer, our country will be stronger, and someday, years from now, you may remember it as the moment when your own story and the American story converged, when they came together, and we met the challenges of our new century.”
–From a speech to SEED School in Washington, D.C., April 21, 2009
“This book is absolutely wonderful. I believe anyone who loves their pet can identify and probably learn something from it. It helped me work through a lot of emotions though I had lost my Lab, Bullet Girl, five months ago. As we all know, our dogs will be leaving us one day. This book will help whether you have already lost your animal, are in the process or just want to be prepared for the future. I would also suggest the book to dog lovers who have lost or are losing a human loved one.”
–Cheryl Viera, a Facebook Fan, January 2010
“Just finished your wonderful book. Sitting here in a puddle of tears surrounded by my three wonderful dogs. Thank you for putting the book together, you did a wonderful job. Your journey with Beezer and Boomer, and the lessons you learned are so similar to my journey with Moose. The lessons I have learned from my dog family members have enriched my life more than any other thing. Just wanted to say thanks and job well done.”
